PROVENANCE: Galerie Heiner Friedrich, Cologne.
Private collection, North Rhine-Westphalia.

LITERATURE: Götz Adriani, Toulouse-Lautrec. Das gesamte graphische Werk, 2nd ed., Cologne 1986, CR no. 179 III (of III) (with color illu., probably different copy).
Wolfgang Wittrock, Toulouse-Lautrec. The Complete Prints, Vol. one, London 1985, CR no. 163 (with color illu., probably different copy).
Loys Delteil, Le Peintre-Graveur Illustré, volume 11, H. de Toulouse-Lautrec, seconde partie, Paris 1920, CR no. 187 (with b/w illustration, probably a different copy).

Good overall impression. Backed with delicate Japan paper for stabilization. Overall browned, with mount staining, which slightly diminishes the color effect. Small, isolated spots of various kinds, such as water stains in the upper left, scattered small brown spots, or light spots in the lower left. Small pinholes are visible in backlight. Two tiny creases in the upper two corners of the sheet and a small tear in the upper right margin. The edges of the sheet are slightly irregularly trimmed.
