• Large-format composition of exceptional minimalist concentration.
• Erben created a geometric abstraction that draws on the work of Color Field painters such as Mark Rothko and Josef Albers.
• In 1977, he participated in documenta 6 in Kassel.
• His works can be found in numerous public collections, such as the Hamburger Bahnhof - Museum für Gegenwart, Berlin, and the Museum Folkwang, Essen.
