Printed by Roland Ehrhardt, Dresden. Published as an 'academy print' by the Academy of Fine Arts, Dresden (with the blindstamp). [MH].

• Otto Dix regularly visited Dresden from 1949 until his death.
• The artist himself described Ehrhard as “Germany's best printer”.
• A wonderful example graphic art at its most painterly: the powerful brushwork gives the sheet a pictorial effect
