• Since Antes invented the “Kopffüßler” (head-footer) motif in the early 1960s, it has been subject to constant change.
• In 1964, 1968 and 1977, the year this work was created, Antes was represented at documenta III, IV and VI.
• Today, the “Heads” and “Head-footers” are among the artist's most sought-after motifs.
• Works from the 1970s can be found in major museum collections, including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma in Helsinki and the Sprengel Museum in Hanover.
