• From the 1930s onwards, Anton Stankowski was one of the early German protagonists of Constructivist-Concrete art.
• In 1964, his works were shown at documenta III in Kassel.
• Between 1969 and 1972, he was chairman of the Visual Design Committee for the Munich Olympics.
The artist particularly devoted himself to graphic design and "functional graphics" and created many brands, signs, and visual images.
• In the year the present work was made, Stankowski designed the reduced Deutsche Bank logo, among other things.
