• Nudes in the landscape were among the central motifs in the great expressionist's repertoire from the "Brücke" period onwards.
• Throughout his life, the artist spent the summer months on his beloved Baltic coast, where he created his most beautiful nude drawings.

PROVENANCE: Private collection Northern Germany (family-owned for two generations).

In good condition. Mounted. Margins sligthly creased. Center of lower margin with a small, superficially rubbed spot. Lower right corner with a slightly browned spot from a mounting on the reverse.
