• Made during Erich Heckel's Italian reise im Jahr 1909.
• The drawing is particularly captivating for the verve the spontaneous account of the Rome surrounding emanates.
The work is registered in the Erich Heckel Estate, Hemmenhofen on Lake Constance. We are grateful to Mrs Renate Ebner and Mr Hans Geissler for the kind support in cataloging this lot.

Good impression consistent of the age. Small stains and rubbed spots, edges minimally irregular, with tiny splits and somewhat soiled.
