Dube H 317 I (of II). Signed and dated "20". On laid paper. 46.1 x 32.5 cm (18.1 x 12.7 in). Sheet: 55 x 40,5 cm (21,7 x 15,9 in).
• Founding member of the expressionist group "Brücke" (1905-1913).
• Heckel's woodcuts in particular are considered masterpieces of German Expressionism.
• Fine and strong first state print.
• In 1937 some 729 of his works were removed from German museums as "degenerate art"

PROVENANCE: Private collection Southern Germany.

Good overall impression. With minimal mount staining. Margins with several restored splits. Minor paper loss in upper right corner.
