• The soft pastel tones are in harmony with the peaceful composition.
• Bathing nudes are a key motif for the “Brücke” artists.
• In the 1920s and 1930s, Heckel's preferred setting for his nudes was the landscape of the Baltic Sea.
The work is listed in the Erich Heckel Estate, Hemmenhofen on Lake Constance. We are grateful to Ms. Renate Ebner for her kind support in cataloging this lot.

In good condition. A few tiny creases along the right edge of the sheet, barely noticeable smoothed creases along the right and upper edges. Left edge of sheet not trimmed.
