• Thomas Lenk opens up his sculptures to the surrounding space through the layering,.
• By opening the space, Lenk paves the path to social sculpture, the ideas of which he expresses in “Agressiv- und Urbanwerk – Untersuchungen über die gesellschaftliche Wirksamkeit von Kunst” (Aggressive and Urban Work – Studies on the social effectiveness of art) in 1970.
• In 1970, Thomas Lenk participates in the Venice Biennale.
