• Fascinating abstraction with playful exploration of shapes and color fields.
• Since his participation in the documenta I (1955), Fritz Winter has been considered one of the leading representatives of German Informal Art and abstract post-war modernism.
• Winter has been exhibiting in the United States since the 1950s, and was represented in two exhibitions at, among other places, the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
