• Before he emigrated to Paris in 1960, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.
• In 1968, he participated in the 4th documenta in Kassel.
• Works by Jan Voss can be found at, among others, the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, at the Moderna Museet, Stockholm and at the Sprengel Museum, Hanover
.

PROVENANCE: Private collection.
Hans Braun Collection, Baden-Württemberg (acquired from the above in 2011).

LITERATURE: Villa Grisebach, Berlin, auction 185, May 28, 2011, lot 573 (illu. in color).

In good condition, with beautiful colors. Slightly dirty in places. Some craquelure in the impasto areas. A small flaked spot (approx. 1 cm) in the upper center of the painting. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the help of a UV light source and to the best of our knowledge and belief.
