Signed in the lower right. Verso dated (1964/5), titled as well as with the dimensions “90/63”. On off-white Schoeller wove paper (with blindstamp). 90.2 x 62.5 cm (35.5 x 24.6 in), size of sheet.
The signature and writing on the reverse suggest a portrait format, whereas in Wieland Schmied's catalogue raisonné mentions the work as a landscape format and with the signature in the lower left. [AR].

• From the artist's very successful period around 1960: participation in the documenta II (1959) and documenta III (1964) in Kassel and in the 1968 Venice Biennale..
PROVENANCE: Private collection, Hesse (presumably acquired from Dr. Ewald Rathke, art dealer, Frankfurt am Main, around 1970).

In good condition. With isolated handling marks and small creases in the corners of the sheets. Slightly unevenly browned and with isolated brown spots.
