• The early deceased Heimrad Prem was one of the most important German figurative painters of the post-war period.
• In 1958, Heimrad Prem founded the artist group “SPUR” together with HP Zimmer and Helmut Sturm.
• In 1964 he participated in documenta III in Kassel.

" Comparing the canvas "Hinterm Erdball" from 1976 with the works "Paradies-Garten" or "Nächtliche Szene", we see that in 1976 Prem revisited his depictions of the world and the counter-world from 1962/63. Pictorial elements such as his small black hooks or the peculiar rectangular black and white figures randomly scattered across the picture surface suddenly reappear." (quoted from: M. Jochimsen, P. In good condition. Slight craquelure in the right side of the image. The condition report was compiled in daylight and with the aid of an ultraviolet light source to the best of our knowledge and belief.
