• The female nude in natural poses is a central motif for Kirchner.
• Hardly any other expressionist artist used drawing as a creative tool as much as Kirchner.
• Gerda and Erna Schilling are Kirchner's models in his best creative days in Berlin.

In good condition. The corners are minimally scuffed and with isolated, barely noticeable, smoothed creases and slightly wavy owing to mounting on the reverse. Two expertly closed incisions in the right margin. A fine, smoothed crease running horizontally across the bottom third of the sheet.
