• In 1987 the artist was awarded the renowned Hans-Molfenter-Prize.
• Works from the series were first shown at the Galerie der Stadt Stuttgart.
• K. R. H. Sonderborg almost exclusively uses the 'non colors' black and white in both his graphic oeuvre and his paintings.
• In 1959 and 1964 Sonderborg participated in Documenta II and III, in 1964 and in 1970 he participted in theVenice Biennale.
• The artist is represented both at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, as well as Tate Modern, London.
