• As one of the most versatile and most experimental artists of his time, his work defies all genre norms.
• He is regarded as one of the most important trendsetters of the 1970s and 80s.
• Buthe exhibited at a total of four documenta exhibitions between 1972 and 1992.
• From 1983, Buthe taught at the Düsseldorf Art Academy alongside luminaries such as Joseph Beuys.

The work will be included in the forthcoming catalog raisonné of Michael Buthe's works, currently compiled by Juerg Judin and Dr. Pay Matthis Karstens, Berlin.
