Heinz Trökes
The extraordinary versatile talent of Heinz Trökes, who had received artistic training from, among others, Johannes Itten and Georg Muche, is particularly remarkable. Besides cloth- and tapestry patterns he also designed mosaics and glass windows, furthermore, he left behind a rich oeuvre of paintings and graphic works, which also comprises, among others, collages and drawings. In terms of style, the work of Heinz Trökes is obliged to a surrealist tendency, which oscillates between biomorph and geometrical abstraction and figurative notions. His compositions often call reminiscence of landscapes. With great poise Heinz Trökes employed soft nuances as well as strong lucent colors. The impressions made on numerous journeys are also reflected by light and coloring in his works. The native son of Hamborn am Rhein Heinz Trökes went, for instance, to South America, Israel and Asia.
