After beginnings in the style of the Informel, Otmar Alt's characteristic repertoire of forms developed as of the 1960s: Biomorph abstract, symbolic motifs, particularly taken from flora and fauna, make for the fundament of his art, which can be identified by his powerful and strong coloring and sharp contours. In a striking and puzzle-like style Otmar Alt joins loud and colorful symbolic images to compositions that remind the observer of Pop Art.
