László Moholy-Nagy counts among the most innovative representative of avant-garde art of the first half of the 20th century. After László Moholy-Nagy had come to the famous Bauhaus his artistic potential came to full bloom. The versatile artist did not only lead the metal workshop at the Bauhaus, he also experimented with painting , photography and typography and attained ground-breaking results. László Moholy-Nagy's revolutionary, inter-medial creation found impressive manifestation in the "Licht-Raum-Modulator" (1922-1930), which created fascinating, space filling visual sensations. After he emigrated to the USA in 1937, László Moholy-Nagy was to continue his teaching activities up until the end of his life, at first at the "New Bauhaus", later at the "School of Design".
